About Reawaken Studio
A Space for Healing and Re-Awakening
My practice is built on psychodynamic theory and unconditional positive regard. I lead a trauma-informed and LGBTQ-affirming space where we focus on processing complex trauma, co-creating healthy boundaries, and—most importantly—learning to step into and love the bodies we live in.
A Note to You
Be kind to yourself. Wellness is not a race, and the fact that you’ve found your way here is a massive first step. It shows you are taking action for your health, and that is a beautiful thing. If you feel we might be a good fit, I offer free introductory calls. I’d love to hear from you.
About Patrick Abrams, LCSW
-
As an out gay therapist, I pride myself on providing an open, affirming practice for the entire LGBTQ+ community. While I am not the "expert" on your specific life, we share a language. This foundation of empathy extends to my straight-identifying clients as well, ensuring everyone feels seen, heard, and respected.
-
My experience within venture capital, startups, and large corporations gives me a unique lens on "cultural chemistry." I deeply understand the nuances of workplace dynamics, the identity politics of professionalism, and the burnout that often follows. I help professionals navigate the intersection of their career and their mental well-being.
-
I am a graduate of New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, where my clinical focus was centered on comparative family systems and trauma-informed care.
